IS BOOSTING YOUR RAM REALLY GOOD???

Is boosting your system ram really good?? I learnt this the hard way. Last week I was online doing my normal survey and a found a trick on how to boost a system's ram. I really wanted this tweak because anytime am playing my Fifa 14, my system lags
. So I applied the tweak. What is this tweak???
STEP ONE- OPEN NOTEPAD
STEP TWO- TYPE IN "MYSTRING=(80000000)
STEP THREE- SAVE IT HAS RAM.VBE
STEP FOUR- SAVE IT TO YOUR DESKTOP.
  I tried this tweak once although I didn't launch my Fifa and test if it works before shutting down my system. Believe me I was amazed the next time I put on my system and I found out that its not displaying anything, then I noticed the capslock light was blinking. I thought it was my ram at first I picked up my stuffs and opened up my system to check the ram. After this I remembered the ram I placed on my system must be jamming with my real ram.
SO WHAT'S THE SOLUTION???
First if you will use this tweak don't leave it while you shutdown. Or don't even use it...
